Food supplement containing lactoferrin, folic acid, iodine and vitamin C.
Indications
Elleffe 100 plus is a food supplement containing Lactoferrin, Folic Acid, Iodine and Vitamin C, useful in case of increased need or reduced dietary intake of these nutrients. Supplemental intake of folic acid increases maternal folate status. Low maternal folate status is a risk factor for the development of neural tube defects in the fetus. Iodine promotes normal production of thyroid hormones and contributes to normal thyroid function. Vitamin C protects cells from oxidative stress and increases iron absorption.
Pack size: 20 tablets.
Food supplements must not be considered as substitutes of a vary diet and a healthy lifestyle.
Description
Dosage and instructions for use | |
1 tablet a day at least 1 month before conception and throughout the first trimester of pregnancy. The tablets should be swallowed whole with a glass of water or other liquid, preferably before meals. Supplementation can be extended according to medical indication based on specific needs.
In women of childbearing age, the beneficial effect of folic acid is obtained with a supplementary daily intake of 400 μg for at least one month before and up to three months after conception. |
