How it works<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
The two functional substances contained in DicoSim Plus act synergistically to counteract the symptoms associated to gastrointestinal gas overproduction, reducing consequently bloating and discomfort associated to dyspeptic disorders. Simethicone acts as anti-foaming agent, breaking the gas bubbles formed on the surface of the gastrointestinal fluids, and absorbing the gas. Sucresters act specifically on the reduction of proteic foam present in the gastrointestinal tract, but also, they are able to reduce the formation of these foams if the product is taken directly with the milk.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n\n
Dosage and method of use<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Adults<\/strong>: 20-40 drops, eventually diluted in a liquid (such as milk), preferably after meals, 2-4 times a day or according to medical advice.
\nDo not take directly from the dropper. Shake well before using the product. Close properly the bottle after use.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n\n
Side effects and overdosage<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Like all the products based on simethicone, this medical device may cause side effects even if not all the people manifest them. Tell your doctor if during treatment with DicoSim Plus you note the following side effects:
\n– vomit, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, ileum pain, nausea;
\n– rashes;
\n– facial, eyes and lips swelling, throat swelling with difficulty breathing (angioedema).
\nThese side effects occur rarely. No overdosage effects have been reported.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n\n
Interactions and incompatibilities<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
The product can interfere with substances such as guaiac gum, used in diagnostic procedures and with cephalosporin antibiotics. Moreover, in the bibliography is documented a case-report of an interaction between simethicone and Levothyroxine. For this reason, in case of congenital hypothyroidism treated with Levothyroxine or related drugs, consult your doctor before using DicoSim Plus. As a general rule, it is advisable do not take food supplements or drugs at least 2 hours before or 2 hours after taking DicoSim Plus.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n\n
Storage<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Store at room temperature. Store the product properly closed and away from heat sources. The product should not be used more than 30 days after opening.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n\n
Warnings and contraindications<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
The product may appear with two separate phases. After stirring the same should appear as a homogeneous emulsion. Keep out of reach of children. Do not exceed recommended doses. During pregnancy and breastfeeding take the product only after medical advice. Do not use the product after the expiration date; the expiry date refers to the intact product properly stored. Do not use the product if the package is not intact. All the components composing the product, including the dropper, must be intact. Do not use the product for more than 30 consecutive days. After a short period of treatment (7 days) with no significant results, consult a doctor. In case of adverse reactions discontinue the use of the product and consult your doctor in order to establish an appropriate therapy. During use, if you suspect an accidental contamination of the dropper, wash it carefully before putting back into the bottle in order to prevent further contamination. Compliance with the instructions contained in the leaflet reduces the risk of side effects. It is important to consult your doctor or pharmacist if you show side effects not described in this leaflet. Do not use in cases of suspected intestinal or ileus perforation. Do not use in case of congenital hypothyroidism treated with Levothyroxine or related drugs. \nThe ingestion of proteins (for example, milk proteins) through feeding, swallowing air by eating too quickly or ingesting foods that cause flatulence, increase the air in the gastrointestinal tract. DicoSim Plus is a medical device indicated in prevention or treatment of symptoms associated of disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, such as intestinal colics, abdominal cramps, flatulence, bloating, aerophagia, abdominal bloating, dyspepsia, and disorders due to an increase in gastric emptying time.<\/p>\n
