How it works<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Macrogol is a water-soluble inert polymer with a high- molecular weight that has the ability to bind to the water used for intake retaining it in the stool. It determines a rehydration and softening of the fecal mass and facilitates its evacuation. It accelerates intestinal transit by promoting peristalsis. It is not absorbed or metabolized in the gastro-intestinal tract and does not lead to water and electrolytes imbalance, if taken with the indicated dose of liquid.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n\n
Dosage and instructions for use<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Use the measuring cup contained in the package to dose the oral solution: fill it according to the dosage indicated below, using the references provided by the notches on the surface of the measuring cup (first mark 5 ml, second mark 10 ml, third mark 15 ml and fourth mark 20 ml). The doses indicated below must be increased or decreased, depending on the individual response to treatment, in order to allow for regular evacuation of soft stools. If you do not notice any improvement after 7 days of treatment, consult your doctor. After use, wash the measuring cup with warm water. Once dried, store the measuring cup in the packaging box.<\/p>\n

Adults and children over 12 years of age<\/strong>
\n\u2013 from 20 ml to 80 ml per day
\n 
\nThe maximum dose needed does not normally exceed 80 ml per day. The oral solution should be taken as it is. Immediately after taking the product, it is necessary to drink about 125 ml of water for every 20 ml of solution taken. It is advisable to administer the product in the morning if the minimum dose (20 ml per day) is to be taken. For larger doses, divide the intake between morning and evening.

\nChildren aged 6 months to 12 years<\/strong>

Immediately after taking the product, it is necessary to drink about 60 ml of water for every 10 ml of solution taken. It is recommended to administer the product in the morning if the minimum dose (10 ml per day) is to be taken. For larger doses, divide the intake between morning and evening.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n\n
Contraindications<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Do not take Agpeg OS Liquido in case of:
\n\u2013 known hypersensitivity to one or more components
\n\u2013 paralytic ileus
\n\u2013 intestinal perforation, obstruction or stenosis
\n\u2013 serious inflammatory bowel diseases (e.g. ulcerative colitis, Crohn\u2019s disease, toxic megacolon)<\/p>\n

The use of laxatives is contraindicated in the event of acute abdominal pain or of unknown origin, nausea and vomiting, rectal bleeding of unknown origin and in the case of severe dehydration.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n\n
Side effects<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Reactions related to the gastrointestinal tract may occur (abdominal pain, flatulence, abdominal distension, nausea and fecal incontinence). Diarrhea is a secondary effect of taking excessive doses of Agpeg OS Liquido and can be avoided by decreasing the dose. Cases of hypersensitivity reactions (skin rash) have rarely been reported following the use of products containing macrogol. In case, stop the treatment and consult your doctor.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n\n
Warnings<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
It is advisable to use the product in children after consulting a doctor. Administration in children should be carried out under the direct supervision of an adult. Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy and lactation. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package. Do not use if package has been opened or damaged. The product can reduce the permanence in the intestine and therefore the absorption of medicines for oral use. It is therefore advisable to consult your doctor in case of simultaneous intake of medicines for oral use, which in any case must be administered at a distance of least 2 hours. In case of unwanted reactions stop the treatment and consult your doctor.
\nIn patients with dysphagia who take starch-based thickeners, it should be considered the possible interactions of macrogol, which may reduce its thickening effect.\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n\n
Storage conditions<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Keep out of the reach and sight of children. Store in a cool, dry place, away from light and heat sources. Close the container tightly after use. Once opened, use the product within 3 months.
